              Have a broad skill set in development with specific skill
              set in voice, networking & communications.
              Unified Messaging experience a great plus.
              VoIP protocols (SIP, MGCP, RTP)
              Server/Translators, Call Processing, VoIP, Feature
              development, Configuration/Provisioning
              An understanding of VoIP issues such as, NAT, firewalls and
              QOS
              CORBA, SQL and LDAP database, SNMP, SOAP, SIMPLE, XML, EJB,
              VxWorks, WAP/WML is highly desirable.

              A systems programming background from a complete systems or
              major subsystems experience such as experience in O/S,
              Drivers, networking, server level software or communication
              products.
              Be able to conceptualize abstract ideas and turn them into
              features on a product.
              Be able to work well with other developers, test team,
              program management & product management/marketing.
              The ability to schedule time with respect to accomplishing
              specific tasks and then break down the performance
              milestones to a daily basis.




Scope:        Overview
              Client is looking for a Systems Software Developer who will
              work as the lead developer for a new Linux-based Unified
              Messaging (UM) system.  The main responsibility will be for
              the design and development of the subsystems that will
              interface with IP telephony and mail systems to manage voice
              mail, email and fax in a message store.  There will also be
              the development of an high-performance embedded database as
              well as the specialized client software to administer this
              database.

              Position Specification
              Reporting to the Software Development Management, this key
              individual will be charged with providing technical
              expertise in software development.

              S/he will be responsible for:
              1. Design, design review and implement major subsystem
              design for voice, fax, pager, VOIP, IP telephony and
              communications related applications.
              2. Write code that is efficient; highly reliable, with
              minimal bugs; with good structure that is easily
              maintainable; and unit-tested.

              Performance Criteria
              1. Delivering high quality code in a timeframe that is
              consistent with the ramp of an early stage client company
              with minimal supervision in an unstructured environment.
              2. Making the personal commitment to the hours required to
              develop and deliver products to market.
              3. Have a broad skill set in development combined with a
              strong ability to learn and produce value.
