QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER IN VIENNA/AUSTRIA

The Client


The client organization is one of the world's largest bottling
companies for the soft drink sector. They are expanding their
capabilities into more sensitive products that require new production
techniques based around aseptic filling technologies.

These will be non-alcoholic, non-carbonated beverages and will include
juices, natural mineral waters, teas and dairy based drinks.

This means installing new systems for aseptic processes and modifying
current practices to ensure correct QA levels are met.

This is a newly created role in the quality team, which currently
consists of Director of Quality, 1 associate and an admin support
person.

Current production facilities 

80 production plants across 26 different countries.

At the moment they have 15-20 sites that use aseptic filling processes
to fill brick packs. The new processes will involve filling into
plastic bottles.


The Candidate

Education 

· University degree in microbiology or food science, preferably a
graduate degree.
· An accredited Lead Auditor or Assessor within the ISO system.

Experience

· 5 to 7 years experience in food manufacturing
· Experience implanting and managing QA systems within the ISO
framework for aseptic filling processes across multi sites
· The person will ideally come from a company that currently have
processes for aseptic filling into plastic bottles. Other juice
manufacturers would also be of interest. In addition to drinks
manufacturers, individuals with experience of aseptic technologies in
the wider food production area could also be relevant.
· Candidates should also have an understanding of how these products
will be managed in the marketplace and will have an understanding of
issues such as consumer demand, distribution, logistics, etc.

Other requirements

· Willingness to relocate
· Travel ~ 50%
· Membership of associations such as the Mineral Water or Juice
association will be an advantage but is not essential
· Fluent English
