Description of Duties and Responsibilities:
·        Combine in-depth scientific and technological knowledge in allied 
fields and independently apply to progress projects of responsibility 
·        Identify and introduce novel technologies using model compounds
·        Develop platform technologies that can be used for existing molecules 
at Forest Laboratories
·        Identify and anticipate technical problems for developing new and 
novel technologies
·        Interact with Pharmaceutical R&D group to understand properties of new 
molecular entities and adapt them into novel dosage forms
·        Work with formulation group in developing the novel dosage forms
·        Work in a team based approach
·        Evaluate the performance of (and may be responsible for) the training 
and development of professional and technical staff members
·        Present and publish papers on research studies, participate in outside 
professional organization and establish area of expertise
·         Work on multiple projects at different research areas and phases
 
Requirements:
·        PhD in Pharmaceutics.  Related field candidates with relevant 
experience are acceptable.  Candidate should have 0-6 years* exp of hands-on 
experience in the pharmaceutical industry.  
·        Understanding of FDA requirements including NDA, pre-approval 
inspection, SUPAC, etc
·        Must have excellent understanding of all types of dosage forms and 
normal drug delivery.  Controlled release technology experience is preferred.
·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills
