Senior Research Scientist, Materials Characterization (ARD 116)

Description of Duties and Responsibilities:
·        Characterization of API's and excipients from project inception to NDA.
·        Conduct fundamental physico-chemical characterization of 
small drug molecules including pH-solubility profile, pKa, partition 
coefficients, polymorphism, solid and solution state stability 
studies, etc.
·        Drive the development of specifications for API.
·        Evaluate appropriate analytical methodology and procedures necessary 
to control API
·        Support chemical process development activities.
·        Conduct relevant studies to support drug product manufacturing.
·        Provide technical and scientific leadership for the department.
 
Requirements:
·        Ph.D. in Physical Organic Chemistry/Pharmaceutical Chemistry/ 
Medicinal Chemistry
·        Fundamental knowledge of pharmaceutical product development is a must.
·        Experience with analytical techniques and instrumentation such as 
HPLC, LC/MS, Microscopy, DSC, TGA, FTIR, and XRD. 
·        Knowledge of GMP's. 
·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills
·        Must be able to work in a team environment in a matrix organization.
·        Knowledge of computer and data sharing environment is necessary
