Description of Duties and Responsibilities:
·        Plan and supervise process development activities along with Technical 
Operations at different stages of development
·        Development of innovative approaches to solving process related 
problems
·        Manage highly skilled team of scientists in pharmaceutical Process 
Development and Technical Services operations
·        Assume leadership role in directing scientists in research activities 
in the areas of drug product process development
·        Combine in-depth scientific/technological knowledge in areas of 
expertise with information in applied fields.  Should apply fundamental 
concepts in Pharmacy and Engineering in the development stages
·        Assume project manager role in Pharmaceutical Research and Development 
that works with interdisciplinary groups within the company
·        Evaluate the performance and responsibilities of staff members
·        Travel to manufacturing sites to share drug process development cycle 
to initiate technology transfer
 
Requirements:
§         Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with 8 plus 
years of experience from a pharmaceutical company
§         Ideal candidate should have strong managerial, leadership and 
motivational skills
§         Methodical/Organized researcher with excellent verbal, written and 
communication skills
§         In-depth knowledge in FDA requirements in IND, NDA, PAI and SUPAC 
guidance
