         Laurel Ridge Cabins are located just south of Summersville,
West Virginia in Mt. Nebo. We are within one mile of Summersville
Lake, the largest lake in West Virginia. The lake offers boating,
fishing, rock climbing, and in the fall the Gauley is the best
whitewater rafting in the Eastern U.S., with class 5+ rapids! We are
10 to 20 minutes from 20 plus whitewater rafting companies that raft
the New and Gauley rivers from March through October. There are three
State Parks and National Forest within 30 minutes of the cabins. As a
matter of fact, 60% of the population of the United States is within a
10 hour drive of our location. Some of the best mountain biking in the
country is in the nearby Monongahela National Forest. Rock climbing is
also very popular around the lake and in the nearby New River Gorge. 

         We have six cabins plus an office on 15.18 acres. Each cabin
has two bedrooms, plus a sleeper sofa, so the will sleep six. The
kitchens are fully equipped with an electric range, refrigerator,
microwave, and all cooking utensils. The cabins have TV, air
conditioning, heat, and a gas grill on the 8' by 14' deck. Towels and
linens are provided. 

         The office also contains a gift shop. The grounds include a
four acre field with horseshoes, volleyball, flower gardens, swing
set, picnic tables, and an outside fire pit. We also have a walking
trail around the property and a 100 acre wood with all the Winnie the
Pooh characters for the little ones.
