On the contrary.  I vigorously disagree.  The price to any American
corporation for a charter is the providing of jobs for Americans. 
Remember your argument the next time an American corporation is about to
fail and comes begging for a bailout, and your argument is "We can't let
them fail; They provide too many jobs."  If you live at home with your
parents well after you are grown and self-sufficient and refuse to help
out with room-and-board then you are a first-class asshole; Just so is
an American corporation that owes it's very existence to the public
infrastructure it leaned on.
