Settlement in UK of Divorced Parent Over 65

Just wondered if any of the other regulars knew of a case or know the answer
to this one.

I cannot find an answer from the usual sources (such as IAS/IND web site).

If a parent is divorced and NOT widowed i.e. their ex-partner is still
alive, but he/she is over 65 and significantly dependant on their child (in
this case at least 60% of their monthly income comes from their child, plus
the child has paid for repairs etc to their house), would the divorce aspect
of their status be akin to the widow status?

The IND talks about widows/widowers and both being alive, but does not
mention divorced parents. IAS mentions remarried parents but again not a
single parent who was/is divorced.

Any ideas?
