Re: Proposed changes to transition rules - Minister's Announcement



All visa posts have sufficient resources to process number of applications
exceeding their annual targets. Adding more resources won't change anything
as number of visas to be issued per year is limited. Lower pass mark and
easier than before implementation of IRPA selection criteria will bring
growing number of applications exceeding several times Canada's annual
quotas for immigration - thus processing times will only get longer.
Unfortunately raising pass mark and making it tougher to qualify is the only
way to reduce processing time. Please don't get me wrong here - I support
changes to transitional rules.
