Student Visa and PR

I have put in my application for PR and am waiting.... waiting....
waiting....



In the meantime, I have seen a course in an Australian institution that
would be perfect for me and I feel really help in me getting employment
if my PR was granted.



Can you apply for a student visa while waiting to hear back for a PR? do
they interfere with each other
