As Jeremy says, with a State Nomination you "only" need the Skilled Independent pool mark of 70 points - a Nomination doesn't entitle you to extra points towards the pass mark. The added benefit of a State Nomination is that your visa application is then processed by the Department of Immigration as a priority. Best regards. Originally posted by zen I'm not 100% clear on this one, so I thought I should ask the question here before I right it off completely so here goes.. My partner has 110 points under the Skilled Migrant visa. The code he comes under with the TRA is 4411-11 and this code is recognised as being in demand under the STNI for Victoria. My question is would he be able to claim any extra points if he went for the STNI or would we have to put up the bond for an extra 5 points..? any advise on this is most welcome.. -- Alan Collett of Go Matilda, http://www.gomatilda.com Posted via http://britishexpats.com
