I disagree with whoever said that this subject is off-topic. I have diabetes due to an autoimmune situation that is now threating my thyroid as well. Since autoimmune disorders are now being associated with toxins in the body, I've become quite interested in doing a little "de-toxing" myself. Health of a diabetic goes beyond blood sugar readings.
That having been said, I will address Louise, and any others who may benefit. I have just finished reading a book by Stephen Edelson called "What your doctor may not tell you about autoimmune disorders...". I will admit that he was a bit extreme for me and now that I've finished reading it, I'm still not sure how to get started, but it did talk about the different toxins that may be in the body and how they get there. And he definitely recommended finding out from a doctor what those toxins were before trying to purge them. It was good background information on toxins whether it relates to autoimmune diseases or not.
