The disk can be used as a standard SCSI drive or with a HP workstation.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----

HP-UX 11.0
The disk has a bootable HP-UX 11.0 left on and can be used in most HP
workstations (eg. 712, 715, 735, E-series). It also has the following
software:

HP-UX Developer Toolkits for 11
HP C/ANSI
HP FORTRAN
HP FORTRAN 90
Samba and other utilities
Even at 2GB there is plenty of free disk space. Below is the output of the
"df" command:

df -kP
Filesystem......1024-blocks Used Available Capacity Mounted on
/dev/vg00/lvol8 491604 .....1229 490375 1% ......../home
/dev/vg00/lvol6 244878 .....231293 13585 95% ...../opt
/dev/vg00/lvol4 123033 .....1327 121706 2% ......../tmp
/dev/vg00/lvol7 431368 .....388795 42576 91% ...../usr
/dev/vg00/lvol5 231722 .....143134 88588 62% ...../var
/dev/vg00/lvol1 60959 .......11119 49840 19% ....../stand
/dev/vg00/lvol3 82538 .......29830 52708 37% ....../

In addition, the swap space is 144MB and there is 212MB free space left for
you to extend a file system using "lvextend". The file systems layout uses
LVM and vxfs so you can add a second disk and extend the file systems if
needed.

The /usr/share/doc directory contains many HP white papers explaing the
HP-UX file system layout, startup shutdown sequence, memory management, ...,
etc - great for learning about HP-UX 11.0

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----

HP-UX Documentation CD
An original HP-UX Documentation CD containing HP Instance Information for
HP-UX Release 11.0. The HP-UX documentation can be viewed on HP-UX 11.0
workstation/server or installed on PC (just follow the instructions in the
readme file on CD).
