Macintosh (PowerPC) software forsale UPDATE:

I think you're being somewhat optimistic with this price. Ebay regularly throws up a copy of 10.2 Jaguar at £50 and Panther is due out any minute. I bought a mint copy of 10.1 for £15 last week.

Patrick

Given that a new copy of 10.2 retails for about £95 or there abouts, then £40 for the previous OS is pretty reasonable.

true, though it's available most places for £80 inc VAT and delivery

I'm not selling my fully packaged, legitimate copy of 10.1 - which I bought at full price - for a ludicously cheap price.

yea but 10.1 isn't simply the previous version. So many new features came in with 10.2 that 10.1 is almost obsolete. Of course it would make a handy addition to anyone that wants to experiment with X for the first time. Still doesn't change the fact that OSX 10.1 can be bought on eBay for between £10 and £20 fairly regularly (I got one last week for £15 inc postage)

So how much does MacOS 9 goes for these days; 50p !!?

Dunno, wouldn't use it ;-)

I'm sorry Patrick, but I'm sticking with the price... for the moment.

for the moment.. and quite a while longer I suspect

For all you possible customers out there... you get what you pay for with me... no cons, no copies and no BS. However, you DO get the software you paid for, and you will get it in good condition.

I've no doubt you're sincere there mate. My only point was that, with the pace of change in these things, stuff we bought in the past loses its value all too quickly
