I was diagnosed with fallen arches this past april. It got so bad that I couldn't do the treadmill anymore. After trying custom arch supports which worked for awhile I then when into a portable (can't think of the real name) walking cast which was great but when I came out of it it wasn't long before I was in the same boat. I am now in a custom ucb I believe its called. Its a hard plastic insert that goes into my chair. I was the barefoot queen--hated shoes and still do but I now wear them practically all of the time. I highly suggest you seeing either a foot specialist or orthopedist immediately. I am finally stabilized after many months of unbearable pain and just again started the treadmill. Keep me posted.
