Make sure you have good walking shoes. The correct type of shoe can make a world of difference. I also like Thorlo socks as they cushion the foot. I used to get a burning sensation of the bottom of my feet when walking but the socks have eliminated it. Since you just started your exercise program you may need to work up to the faster pace to give the feet a chance to become accustomed to the new exercise. Do you happen to have calluses along the part of the foot that hurts? I have a daughter who easily develops calluses on her feet and she says they often become painful when walking. She visits a podiatrist often to have them removed. Beverly
