To gain you need a caloric surplus and to lose you need a deficit. A good place to start is to low your caloric intake ~500 calories below maintance. Shoot for 1-2lbs/week weight loss. Make sure though that you're still getting .8-1gram of protein per lb. of bodyweight to help minimize muscle loss. Everyone is different so keep in mind that adjustments will need to be made (to calorie intake, calories burned, etc.) Also, more information would help us give you more specific information. What's your height, weight, age, activity level, current diet, body fat %, short term goals, long term goals, etc, etc. Michael
