In my dream, I was with two other chaps in a public place, on the
lookout for terrorists. While they were darting glances here and
there, I somehow became immobile and mute while a mustachioed, swarthy
chap came up and placed a bright yellow sack, clearly packed with
explosives, on the floor between them. "Nuh," I pleaded inaudibly to
my comrades deep in my frozen throat. "Nuh." All the while, they
glared at all the passers-by, and up, down and sideways, everywhere
but at the terrorist, who suddenly became aware both of my predicament
and that he could excape without being blown to mist. He flashed me a
smile dense with sparkling white teeth before strolling away. "Nuh.
Nuh." Then my daughter woke me up to drive her to work, so I never
did find out what happened.
