I wish I had a dollar for every person who's come to me with their idea, thinking that I would take on their idea, do all the work, and then split the money with them. I will say that of all the ideas I've heard, none of them were all that bad, and most of them were within the scope of the capabilities of the person who came up with the idea. Yet every time I suggested to one of these people that they take their own idea and make something of it, I heard nothing but excuse after excuse with yet another plea for me to pursue their dream for them. Some people say that the love of money is the root of all evil. I say that the root of all failure is laziness. > Sometimes you have to take a chance in life - not everybody is out to rip > you off - make your own rules - or, like many others take your idea to the > grave with you. I agree that people are way the hell too paranoid. Think about it, folks, if you are too lazy to pursue your own ideas, nobody is going to do it for you. I do agree that one must take a chance. There is no reward, at least no great reward, without taking on a significant level of risk -- especially at the level of pursuing life long dreams and ambitions. The people who succeed with their inventions and ideas are the people who put in the work to make that success happen. Ideas aren't worth a dime a dozen. I have many "good ideas" each day. The only "ideas" that have ever paid off, for me, are the ones that I've actually done something with. As far as I know, that is the case for every other person in the world too. Mike
