Just a late followup on this: I'm still getting a lot of Swen generated 
junk into my e-mail address, but a spam filter is catching it so it isn't 
as big a problem as it was. Hopefully others have found some way to cope 
(cause it sure looks like the owners of many of the infected hosts aren't 
doing anything to eradicate the virus from their machines).

Anyway, since the response to the proposal has been mixed I haven't 
implemented any automatic munging of e-mail addresses. Such a mechanism 
might be of use to posters who must post with valid addresses for one 
reason or another, but if they ask us to munge the address for them before 
we approve their post, then I see no reason why we can't oblige.
