Now granted that he'll need to pay attention to backup power, HVAC and security, but not to the degree you've painted. A Couple tens of thousands perhaps, but certainly not millions. Personally, I think bandwidth is going to be more of an issue. A T1 is *not* going to cut it. And let's not forget the potential customers' upload capabilities (typically 128Kbps or less). Maybe you could get away with incrementals, but then the customers would be better off burning their own and storing it in a safe-deposit box (data hardened). Another issue to consider is "why?" If you're "local", you'd be protecting them from sub-local disasters: building burns down, physical theft, etc. Better to be located some distance from those "protected" to avoid regional disasters. Even better to have multiple redundant locations in separate regions. Ok, now we're talking millions ;) John
