Hello everyone. I am planning to create an internet based frozen food company and need some advice. My niche will be ethnic food (Indian/Sri Lankan) and I am aiming to create gourmet lunch and dinner sized portions that are easily reheatable via the microwave. I plan to initially channel my sales through a secure website. As everyone knows, there are strict regulations on selling home cooked food to the public - you basically cannot do it. So instead of investing in and building out a full commercial kitchen, I am looking to find a commercial kitchen to rent or share. My question is whether or not this kitchen's license and permits will cover my production as well. I don't need to apply for health and government permits as long as the current owner has these permits, right? Thanks in advance!
