I am glad to see all the opinions, PHTLS does go away with the idea of a
long extrication and device immobilization vs. manual immobilization for
time I just like using it for mountain rescue because of the convenience
when in a very limited space environment. The KED does suck in terms of
application but is handy for transfer between litters.
