Re: purchase a lock box

If the fire alarm goes off or if an emergency occurs when no one is in
the building,
the fire department will be able to open the box and retrieve the keys
to gain entry
into the building without having to knock the door down.

I think this is dum because you can knock out a window or knock down
a door faster then unlocking 2 doors to gain entry.

im right yes!!!

Wrongo Dongo!!! How long you been in the fire service?? 6 months???
You going to knock out a window or kick in a door just because a fire alarm is going off???

Over 99% of all fire alarms are false alarms. Unless there is other evidence to indicate an actual emergency, I am NOT going to do anywhere from a couple of hundred to over a thousand dollars worth of property damage just to check out an alarm.

If there is a real emergency, such as fire showing, I am not going to worry with the lock box to begin with, I will probably take out a window or a door, whichever is faster to gain access and control the situation.
If the building is on fire, the least of anyones worries are a window or a door.
