I just remembered something: Here in NY a couple (few?) years ago a ship from China ran aground and a bunch of illegal immigrants scrambled out and were rounded up on shore. It turned out that they were "indentured" (read, "slave") laborers being imported by the Chinatown Triad/Mafia/Whatever. The pretty young girls (and maybe some of the boys...)were to be used in the prostitution rackets. The rest were going to sweat shops with sealed, painted-over windows where they would live and work 24/7. Such "workers" sleep on mats on the floor, or in closet-sized rooms stacked up on plywood bunk bed cubicles. Yeah, you're right. Wherever you have scared, penniless illegal immigrants, you usually have exploitation or slavery.
