Oooh touchy subject, but I have a perfect example on this one:
Recently in a single story stucture fire a deputy sheriff arrived on scene
prior to the fire department and raced inside of the house and pulled out a
subject who was over taken by the smoke. Yes the subject died unforutnately
as result of his smoke inhallation, however, its still the fact that he went
into the building and did something most people would not have done that
makes him a hero in my eye. And yes, He was is a former fire fighter (I keep
telling him that he gets excited every time he lays eyes on the fire
monster..)
