Dang!
Do you wear $140.00 sneakers?
Chances are they were made in a Malasian sweat shop
by a 9-year-old who got paid less than $1.00 a day.
(And may have lost his or her fingers in a machine.)

American manufactures are outsourcing production
to Third World countries at an accelerating rate,
causing plant closings and unemployment here at home.

Since their costs are so disgustingly low to begin with,
I suppose consumer goods manufacturers can still turn
a tidy profit from their former employees who now must
work at low-paying jobs flipping burgers and mopping
floors.
