wall, put up a fence it remains quite well established (and you here admit
as much) that what happened was directly done at the hands of those
inspired by Christian creationism.

Give citations or withdraw this statement. Also, give reference to which
*version* of the documents are being discussed.

But Trevor-Roper's judgement is. That it failed him so badly in that case,
where he was presented with purported original documents, does not speak
too well of his abilities decades earlier when analyzing a second hand
translation (not from the original German, but from French).
