It sure is tough for an IMG to get into a Derm program, but he does have a very good step 1 score. For the original poster, if you can pass step 2 with a 99, see if you can get some connections for the programs that you are interested in. You probably won't go to Harvard, but you might just land on to one of the relatively less competitive programs in some less desirable states. Apply to as many program as you can, and hope for the best. Use IM as a backup (you will have no problem with IM). Go for Match 2005 so you have more time to prepare. Note that if you don't have a commanding knowledge in conversational English this would really hinder your chance.
