Writing Level (x-posted) (SLieber please read)

Reposting to get opinions only on the writing.

Posted to Uk.teachers even though this is an American
asking.  The student is 7.   Hello to S. Lieber...  Haven't
seen you in me lately.

I don't want to talk about the controversial part of the post
my friend made, but to get an assessment of the writing 
level of the child who wrote this.

Her dad says:

Now I do not know what kind of writing you expect in 2nd 
grade so I copied one of her 15 minute essays where 
she could pick the subject unedited including her
spelling and punctuation with names xxxxed out And 
one clarification added in parenthesis.

Karate

Karate is very fun to me. In Karate there are less girls than 
boys because Karate is mostly stuff where girls believe you 
get hurt if you are not strong enough. But I think this is nonsense.
I like to spar because it's fun. In XXXs tournament I kicked a boy 
out of the ring and my dad had to catch him. My dream about 
Karate is to get my black belt and to never quit and win a gold 
medal in the Karate Olympics. My favorite person to spar is 
xxxxxxt. Inbetween classes I like to "beat up" my friend xxxx 
(he is one of the teen helpers). I have never missed a 
tournament.


Her dad says:
Well I would like an opinion how that writing would stack up 
for 2nd grade.
