Why Homeschool?

I am an English 1C student writing a research paper on the
pros and cons of homeschooling versus the pros and cons of public or
private schools.  I would also like to provide various reasons people
choose specific forms of schools.  So my question is why do you
homeschool and how has it helped you or your children
(emotionally/socially/ect.)?  How has it been a drawback?
