You *badly* miss the point. If an unshaped stone is used as an idol,
the offence is in every way identical as if the stone were carved into
the shape of Michaelangelo's "Moses".

Only because you desire to argue forever about the shape of the idol,
rather than the central point of Jeremiah 10: "Learn not the ways of
the heathen." Look, if heathen from pluto worship funny little frozen
ammonia crystals, and sanctify a holiday to the day the ammonia thaws
(signalizing the start of spring), then one can still infer from
Jeremiah 10 that God prefers if we "learn not the ways of the
heathen."
