I wonder how many knowledgeable individuals are unaware
their mind may be a gold mine. Others will pay for this
knowledge stored in your memory.
However you must take the difficult First Step. The best
way to explain this is to use myself as an example.
I was an Engineer with electronic and microelectronic
firms for many years. Attained the status of Senior
Member of the Technical Staff. Another company offered
me a position as Vice President, and I accepted. They
wanted to get into microelectronics and needed my
expertist.What I didn't know,was my contract was full of
holes and once they extracted what thy wanted,I was let
go. Once you have been a VP and look for a position as
an Engineer, other companies are afraid to hire you.
They figure with your background, you will leave as soon
as a better offer comes along.
My hobby was automotive electrical systems. Thus
developed my own techniques for rebuilding alternators,
generators, and starters. Designed and fabricated my
own tooling and test equipment in the garage at home.
Started delivering units to mechanics and service
stations and rebuilding the exchange units for resale.
What happened is started working from early morning till
late at night. In the process was making more money
than before. However all I was doing was working.
Then the thought occured, why not write several one or
two page publications on how to rebuild the various
units. Include the parts required to rebuild (with
ordinary tools)and sell in kit form. Advertised in
several popular magazines. To make a long story short,
it was a failure. However every cloud has a silver
lining. An individual wrote and said he did not want the
kit,but if I had a correspondence course on the subject
he would buy it. As fate would have it sometime before
was thinking about writing a course on the subject.
Went so far as writing a sectionalized outline on what
the proposed content would be. Figured could write this
course in two days and another few days to get it
printed. So I told him I had the correspondence course
and it was $200.00 with some tooling and test equipment.
Now we have reached the First Step discussed before.
It turned out to be more like a hundred steps by the
time you type the text and paste up the illustrations.
A person does not realize the data stored in the brain
is extensive, until trying to put it on paper. It turned
out to be more like two weeks instead of two days.
Here is a man waiting for his course. What saved the day
was it was around Christmas and convinced him to wait
because course could be delayed or lost in the Christmas
rush.
What I am saying is by all means commit yourself to
that First Step. To many people are dreamers with the
some day attitude. This will not cut it if you want to
become a success in business.
Wrote the course in 1971 and a few years later decided
to convert course into book form. The course and books
were successful. In my opinion books are a better route
to go. This is because a course could fall under a
States Educational Division. Unless you like the pain of
posting bonds in the thousands, having the State give
their red tape blessing, and looking over your shoulder,
stay away from courses.
To date have authored and published the following
publications:
1. Book of Alternator/Generator Rebuilding
2. Detailed Book of Automotive Starter Rebuilding
3. Author/Publisher Training Manual(technical/How to)
4. Buying/Selling Your Real Property
5. Unique Microwave Cooking Techniques
6. Starting and Setting Up a Home Business
7. Over fifty Craps(dice)Systems
8. Party Jokes
Advertise many of these on the World Wide Web(Internet).

number is: 702-300-9069,Fax: 928=347-5168.
If you want to succeed,do not depend on the Internet. You
must also advertise in appropriate magazines.
I advertise in the classified sections of five
magazines.
You must take that First Step. If you fail try another
approach or something else. I can't count all my
failures, but along the way were successes, and thats
what pays off.
Sometime when you are relaxing, think about the areas
you have experience. You may convert this knowledge
into a publication that can be marketed.
If you want to get on tract fast, our comprehensive
Author/Publisher Training manual is the answer. Refer
to our Web page, contact via at our E-Mail address,or
business address given previously.
My varied experience dates back to 1943. The advent of
computers opened up a new avenue. No need to use white
out when making a mistake or adding more text. Just
make the changes via a word processor. Eliminate the
tons on invoices and paper work, just store it on a
floppy.
If you are fifty five or older and having fun working
don't let anyone call you a Senior Citizen. Use my
terminology "Ageless American" If they ask you what
that means say "I wasn't born yesterday".
