i had a truly brilliant thought today... a perfect analogy for the business world, where the indian man behind the counter haggles with the american tourist, they both leave satisfied, feeling as though they made a fair deal, but they both got robbed at the same time... anyway, i went to share this with a friend of mine... a business owner... and i began to explain it in a vaguely round about way, as i do with everything i discuss, really, and he said "is there a point you're coming to?!" in a mean sort of voice. then i said to myself that it wasn't worth sharing with him anyway, probably, since he was a business man... he'd probably think my idea was dumb or trivial compared to the big thoughts that he had... and i said "well there was... i was about to discuss this thought that i had today" and he said "well there are about 5 things that i have on my mind right now". i became interested and said "oh really, what are they", genuinely just curious... and he says "it's none of your business what's on my mind, just make your point, i've got things to do". i told him that i wasn't interested anymore. he'd really just done if for me, to be honest. cut throats and leave the masses unsatisfied. hooray for commerce and trade. sorry if this sounded bitter. - k i t z - follow me to alt.food.sugar-cereals alt.usenet.surveys is stalking you http://spinning_plates.tripod.com
