No, idiot, it's not about desperation. It's about honoring what you advertise.
By making it nearly impossible to redeem their offer, is FRAUD. If I were
desperate, I would have made a big stink and even returned the merchandise....
instead, I just chaulked it up to experience.... but I'll never forget. 

Btw, this was several years ago, when they didn't post rebate forms on the web
(most of them did not even have a website). And when numerous companies were
SUED for not honoring rebate offers.
