Re: anyone ever return a DVD Recorder to Walmart?

x-no-archive: yes

Glad you had such a positive experience. I'm fortunate my purchase is working out great but some others don't realize one of the reasons walmart is so successful is because they take back "anything". They to try to please. This enabled me to give them the profit they deserve. It must be less than the other stores because the next cheapest local store wanted over $140 more! I have supported other online retailers solely because of their generous returns or lack of restock fees. Thankfully my 1/2 dozen or so purchases have never necessitated a return, but I like all my options open instead of trying to unload stuff on ebay.

Thanks for posting your positive experience. I just had 2 more the past week at best buy and office max. They HAD the sale stuff in stock. Amazing.

I don't really like WalMart but.....
I bought a TV with a built-in VCR. Perhaps 6 weeks later I wanted
to see 2 programs at the same time, and was surprised to find the TV
would not display ONE problem and TAPE the other. Can watch only
channel you are taping.
Next time I was at WalMart, I decided to complain to the person in
charge
of that department. He said bring it back and we'll sell you a
cheaper
TV and separate recorder at about the same price.
I said I was not sure I even still had the receipt; he said,
doesn't
matter, bring it back anyway if you like. [I didn't, because I have 3 TVs in the house and can tape on one, watch on another, but was surprised at their willingness to accept the
return after 6 weeks, w no receipt.]
