I've had a Litter Maid for about 4 years now. Love it, love it, love it!!! I have 4 cats, so scooping was a big headache. I still keep 2 other regular litter pans throughout the house, but the cats will almost always use the Litter Maid. I've only had a few problems with mine. Certain brands of litter clump a little too much and then the scooping mechanism gets bogged down. For the most part these were generic, or warehouse club brands of litter. The other concern is to make sure you can place it somewhere you can use the plug-in adaptor as opposed to battery-operated. Mine will go through the required 8 batteries every couple of days; way too expensive to maintain that way. Good luck!
