What ever way you go the dryer motor will run to spin the drum. This is a
fair amount
of  power isn't it?

Im kinda guessing but i'd guess you pay like 25 cents an hour for fluff and
like 40 cents an hour for spin with heat from electric.

I think the gas dryer will burn like 25 cents an hour in gas (lp @ 1.00/gal)
+ the 25 for the drum.
so 50 cents an hours for the gas

So if you can dry on fluff in an hour then yes it is cheaper.
if you had jeans and sweatshirts on a humid day it might take hours on fluff
but with heat it will be done in 1 hour, in this case fluff costs much more.

I might be off on the actual costs but I think I got the proportions right.
