EcoFan by Caframo

I purchased a Caframo EcoFan a 3-4 years ago -- (its one of those air
circulation fans that sits on top of your wood stove generating its
own power by converting the heat from the stove).

Well, it stopped working and upon inspection I noticed that one of the
terminals for the wiring had come unsoldered.

So I found Caframo on the Internet and emailed their customer service
to find out about soldering it.  They emailed me that they use a
special solder and I wouldn't be able to fix it.  They said I should
just send it to them and they would send me out a refurbished model.

I couldn't beleive it.

Its often hard to get companies to stand behind their warranty during
the warranty period.  It is unheard of for many companies to stand
behind their product AFTER the warranty period.

Caframo is awesome!
