I find it rather strange that ANY John Deere dealer could NOT find parts
such as Points and Carb Kits for a 12 year old snow blower...OR could not
tell you who made the engine...

I would pick up the phone and call another dealer...There are at least 5
dealers within a 10 mile radius of me...

Just find it very hard to believe they can not get you a simple set of
points ..
