Too bad your buddy failed to show you this. It was lower than 28%. He didn't run out to HD; he runs a kitchen and bath design shop and retails with a fairly large customer base, and supplies several contractors in the area. I know they were bought through KM because I unloaded the Kraft-Maid tractor-trailer when they showed up at his warehouse, and put them right on my truck. As for the cabinets, they are hickory face frames and doors with particle board boxes. He offered me the plywood upgrade at his cost and I declined. I have one cabinet with the plywood only because I needed to hang a pot rack on the side of it. All of the cabinets do indeed have 4 sided dovetailed drawers with 3/4" solid wood sides and 3/16" plywood bottom. The drawers came apart - no glue apparent at all. No point in bothering him with warranty stuff when I can fix it in my own shop. My point was that even with a warranty and furniture grade components, it's just a wooden box with drawers or doors. Unless you abuse them, why should they break or fall apart? Jon E
