It is a possibility but could be other things as well depending on the
exact model number of the range and how it was designed. Some models
may have some sort of cooling fan in the console panel which if failed
could result in a shut down of the electronic control.

You can find tips for locating the model and serial number tag on your
appliances in the 'Repair Parts' section of my site linked below but
your range will likely need to be checked out to determine the actual
cause of your symptom.
