My dual fuel range has a control panel and a controller board. Your range may be the same. It could be either one of these components or the wiring harness that connects them. Often an error code is displayed (like F3 or C1) when a fault occurs. If it is a computer problems, you may be able to shut off the electric to the stove for about 5 minutes and then reboot it. My guess is that the failure is from heat. When my controller board failed, the new one came with a heat shield that wasn't part of the original equipment. You range probably has a small cooling fan (just like in your computer) that blows air over the electronic components. It is possible that the fan has failed. In any event, unless you are pretty handy and feel comfortable taking your range apart, I would call a service tech. You can get good information and parts at this site (I have used them several times) www.repairclinic.com should you decide to fix it yourself.
