I've read this discussion on several other boards.  I don't know what, if
anything, you can do now - but agree that if you had done any research before
buying, you would have found that Maytag's Neptune line (in fact, all their
newer products) has a bad reputation.  I've got a very old Maytag that is still
going strong, but would not buy a new Maytag product.
