I have these horrible cave crickets living in my house and want to get rid of them once and for all. They were here because the previous owner was a SLOB and never took care of anything. When DH and I first moved in, we fixed all of the leaking pipes to get rid of the water they like so much, but still have not been able to fully rid ourselves of this pest. They look really horrible: http://entweb.clemson.edu/cuentres/cesheets/hhold/ce190.htm I read all this great information on the internet about how to get rid of them (http://www.bugspray.com/catalog/products/page421.html) but I am wary of dumping poisons into my walls. I have no idea if it will affect my health down the road, or how long the chemicals will linger. I am not even sure exactly where they are living inside the walls so I probably have to apply a lot more poison than may even be necessary. To top it off, our ductwork isn't very good and there are places where it ends and the air is funnelled through the walls and then back into ductwork and into the house. So, whatever poisons I pour in there, will likely end up getting picked up by our heat and AC. Anyone have any ideas as to how I can get rid of them without using poisons, or are there 'safer' poisons out there? Thanks in advance. Hehn
