Bear in mind, however, that Koolatron doesn't care if its recommendations significantly reduce your battery life. As long as the vehicle starts, many people will miss the cause and effect when the battery fails months or weeks earlier than normal. To be fair, ANY battery drain shortens the life of the battery, so this isn't a product defect or unreasonable FAQ response. A single drain like this isn't as significant a problem as repeated draining of the battery.
