Does this estimate sound right?

I'm trying to get a gas line run for the dryer. The gas meter is
directly on the other side of the garage wall, so a  T needs to be
installed, and a line run through the  wall. The dryer will be in the
garage, literally 2-3' away. 

I asked them to cut the hole for the vent kit as well. 

Estimates ranged from over $600 to $300. I thought this would take a
mere hour or so and run about $100 bucks. Am I wrong?
