Thanks, Rosalie ooooohhhhh... I'm working this problem, actually a slow drain, on my 9 yr. old GE profile. Turns out there is a piston/seal check valve mechanism in the output side of the pump on the drain side. Essentially, pump solenoid closes to push water out the drain hose, into this 'box' and then out the drain line to the sink connection. Well, there's a spring loaded piston and seal that when it goes to drain pushes up and seals the hole above it and lets all the water go out the drain line. This thing is behind a screen in the bottom rear section. You can take it out by just unscrewing it from the top. In fact, it looks like this: http://www.repairclinic.com/0081.asp?RccPartID=821081 On mine, the rubber has gotten a lot smaller in diameter and isn't sealing well so it does drain but slowly since some of the water is going past it and back into the tub. This may or may not be your problem but .... worth a look to see if you have one of these....
