Master policy deductible quintupled

Our association's master policy deductible quietly went from $1000 to
$5000 at our renewal last month, without a change in premium.

We were told that this was being done by all carriers for all
association polcies across the board, and some were even going up to
$10K.

I know the insurance industry has been taking major hits from the
economy, but I would have expected to see more mention of such drastic
across-the-board increases on the net and in the news.

Are others seeing such five-fold and ten-fold increases this year?
