I'll look it up. I'm on a zoning board and am generally curious about how decisions are made and more importantly, how they're received. There is a fair amount of latitude in local ordinances and typically, when a project requires board approval it's because the applicant is looking for a variance or their project falls into a special class such a a planned development or a conditional use. What may appear to be draconian to an applicant is, more often than not, how boards maintain compatability among uses or assure good development. Granted, "good" is subjective. But I can guarantee that the alternative methods would be worse for all concerned. I will also admit that some board members are misguided, uninformed, or just plain stupid. I'll go try to find the minutes on Gypsy's.
